# Write for the ear. Edit for the picture.

A voiceover needs to sound natural and fit the scene. Finalize the message, record or generate an approved performance, then edit the picture and speech together.

This is an original VibeClip workflow brief, not an installable Agent integration. Use it with the editing tools you have available. VibeClip is in development.

## Inputs

- Approved narration copy and pronunciation notes
- A recorded voice track or an explicitly chosen generation tool
- Scene durations, tone, audience and delivery language

## Copy this brief

Prepare narration for this video using my approved copy. Read for natural spoken phrasing, mark product pronunciations and estimate timing scene by scene. Use the voice source I explicitly choose; flag missing audio rather than assuming voice generation is available. Align the final performance with the picture, leave useful pauses and check the complete mix. Keep narration separate from music and preserve the approved text.

## Review the result

- [ ] Pronunciation, names and numbers match the approved script.
- [ ] The delivery fits without sounding unnaturally rushed.
- [ ] Narration remains intelligible under music and effects.
- [ ] Script, voice source and scene timing are retained separately.

## Write a spoken script

A sentence that reads well on a page may be difficult to say aloud. Use concrete phrasing, short thought units and clear references. Read the script at the intended pace before committing scene lengths. Mark names, abbreviations and emphasis that would otherwise be ambiguous.

## Choose the voice source explicitly

A human recording, an existing approved voice track and a synthesis tool have different inputs. Specify which you have and which additional work is authorized. Do not let a workflow assume that a missing voice track can be replaced by cloning a person’s voice or buying a generation service.

For a recording, keep a clean source and note any preferred takes. For generated audio, keep the approved text and settings needed to reproduce a correction. Review the resulting performance rather than judging it only by the prompt.

## Let timing inform the picture

Use the actual performance duration when building the final sequence. Leave room around a new term, a visual transition or the key takeaway. If a scene is too short, simplify its wording or extend an appropriate hold instead of forcing the entire track to fit through aggressive speed changes.

## Mix around intelligibility

Keep narration separate from music. Listen to the softest words and check whether background elements mask them. Compare on the devices the audience is likely to use. A silent editor preview does not establish that the delivered audio mix is correct.
